In accordance with the celebration of world Hand Hygiene Day which is marked on the 5th of May every year, the Royal Hospital (RH) represented by Infection Control Department organized today (Tuesday) at the hospital’s Main Reception hall and Lectures hall the Hand Hygiene Campaign. The Campaign was attended by Dr. Zeenah Ali Al Maskari, Head of Infection Control Department in RH, and a number of administrators. Hospital’s medical staff, clients and their parents participated in the Campaign.
The three-day Campaign aims at raising the awareness of the healthcare workers on the importance hand hygiene caring, and promoting the community culture about the important role of hand hygiene in preventing diseases infection.
The Campaign included educational programmes and allocated a corner on health awareness along with presenting papers on hand hygiene. Moreover, the event included distributing of hand hygiene Pamphlets as well as educating the in-patients about the advantages of self and hand hygiene.
