The Royal Hospital organized at the Intercontinental Hotel recently a workshop titled: “Rational Use of Antibiotics” with presence of Dr. Qasim Ahmed al-Salmi, Director General of the Hospital and participation of doctors, pharmacists and nurses from various health institutions in the Sultanate.

The workshop aimed to exchange experiences, as well as check-up for some of the chronic cases.    

It included several lectures in this field like; the importance of the rational use of antibiotics program in the Tertiary Health Care Hospitals, the progress achieved of this program in the Royal Hospital, strategies of designing and implementing the supervising program on the antimicrobial, current consumption of the antibiotics in the Royal Hospital and antibiotics for children.
