The Royal Hospital organized on Thursday a recognition day for the outstanding employees under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Saidi, Minister of Health, with attended of Dr. Qasim bin Ahmed al-Salmi, Director-General of the Royal Hospital.

This honoring ceremony, which was held at the conference hall in the Hospital, came due to the efforts being exerted to enhance the society’s and citizen’s health, as well as improve the quality of services provided in the Hospital.

“Our outpatient attendance increased by 14% to 140,358 visits. We had 42,569 admissions in 2014, i.e. 10% higher than 2013. The emergency visits went up by 7% to 63,032 visits” Dr. al-Salim said in his speech. He also added: “In October last year, we set up a taskforce to improve the efficiency of the Adult Emergency. During the last few months, we have introduced several new services such as autologous stem cell transplantation, additional pediatric and maternity wards…etc”.

The Minister of Health at the end of the ceremony handed over awards to the outstanding employees.
