Within the framework of the Sultanate’s celebrations of the 45th Glorious National Day, the Ministry of Health (MOH) celebrated today (Sunday) the opening of National Heart Center in the Wilayat of Bowshar at Muscat Governorate at a cost of more than RO (41) million.
The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Fatik bin Fahar Al Said, Secretary-General at the Ministry of Heritage and Culture in the presence of H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Saidi, Minister of Health along with number of Excellencies.
The construction area of the Center has reached 21810 sqm. The center is a three-floor building and contains 139 beds with 597 medical staff.
It consists of medical records, pharmacies, Post Graduate Center, outpatient clinics for pediatric and adults, surgery ward, pediatric ward, maternity ward, intensive care units, Central Sterilization Services Center, catheter laboratory…etc.
It is worth mentioning that, Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation has donated part of the cost.
