Sultanate Participates in Arab Health Ministers Council Meeting25/2/2020
The meeting of the 53rd Ordinary Session of the Arab Health Ministers Council will kick off tomorrow (Wednesday) in the Arab Republic of Egypt with participation of the Sultanate.
The Sultanate's delegation is headed by H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health.
A number of health-related issues of Arab common interest including highlight the successful experiences of the Arab member states in the health field, unification of the health legislation in the Arab countries will be discussed during the meeting.
Furthermore, the meeting will touch upon the Arab Authority for Blood Transfusion Services, the 12th Arab Conference for Blood Transfusion Services, Arab Physician Award, the training course on the Universal Health Coverage, health & environment, as well as improving the health of women, children and teenagers in the Arab region.
In addition, the meeting will discuss the unified speech of the Arab Health Ministers Council in front of the 73rd Session of the World Health Assembly 2020 in Geneva, unifying the emergency & disaster plans along with the preparedness of the technical and administration health institutions for the rapid emergency response.
The meeting will also touch upon the decisions of the Arab Board for Health Specializations, Arab Health Development Fund, the Arab Center for Authorship and Translation of Health Science, Arab-Chinese Health Cooperation, health rights for the persons with disabilities, the funding strategies to involve the private health sector in order to achieve the Universal Health coverage.
