Royal Hospital Organizes Health Profession Education Conference

The Royal Hospital, represented by the Training & Studies Department held today Wednesday a conference on Health Professions Education under the theme “Towards Excellence in Health Professions Education” at the lectures hall in the Royal Hospital.

The conference was held under the patronage of H.H Sayyida Hujaija bint Jaifar al Said in the presence of Dr. Qasim bin Ahmed al-Salmi, Director General of Royal Hospital along with number of senior officials in the hospital.

The conference aimed at building a network of health professionals interested in promoting educational excellence in the same field, providing forum for sharing innovative ideas and educational innovations related to teaching, learning and leading health professions education. It also aimed to discuss clinical education in terms of challenges, opportunities and best practices, as well as identify models of excellence and creative approaches for enhancing inter-professional education.

In addition, the conference created a platform of sharing presentations of peer-reviewed projects in education research and curriculum development and discuss emerging practices and issues related to stimulation and technology in health professions education.
