Al Saidi Receives Edinburgh Royal College of Surgeons President
H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health, received at his office today (Thursday) Professor Michael Lavelle-Jones, President of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom (UK).
The meeting reviewed relations development between the Ministry and the College as regard to the practical training for surgeons in all its domains, and the possibility of obtaining fellowship for Omani physicians and surgeons at centers affiliated to the RCSEd to boost surgical skills particularly in sub-specialties.
Professor Michael Lavelle-Jones extended his thanks to His Excellency Health Minister on the support and care given by MOH for the continuity of hosting the tests of RCS membership in Muscat since three years.
Moreover, the two sides wished that these annual examinations create a wider cooperation in other educational and training terms taking into regard the College’s extended experience that played an essential role in surgery advancement within the UK and abroad.
Number of Royal Hospital’s surgical departments Heads as well as MOH senior officials attended the meeting.
