Department of Health Education & Awarness Programs

Health of Education is an important and essential part of all health services and programs provided by the Ministry of Health in its various institutions. The Health of Education role does not only end at the level of the supplying the community with health information, but also includes the process of educating the citizen about the programs and the services available, how to utilize them, activate the role of the citizens in maintaining their health and utilize services provided to them. Without health education, majority of health services and programs cannot reach the desired benefits and achieve their full objectives. Health education is a shared responsibility of all staff in the health sector, instead of making it an exclusive act of the Health Educator. Therefore, Health sectors and others are managing great efforts in promoting health awareness programs in order to keep up with changes and the developments in the society, also to tackle the health challenges.
