Directorate General of Human Resources Development
The Directorate-General for Human Resources Development is one of the main pillars in the development and training and development of health competencies of the Ministry of Health at all levels and specializations , and this is done through training, rehabilitation and development , which offered to its employees in various fields in order to provide safe hygiene practices based on sound science . Its role has evolved to become an effective tool in human resources for health development and refinement of staff skills and equip them with the knowledge, skills and scientific expertise and practical process to provide occupational health service of quality in performance. The Directorate devoted its efforts to enhance communication with various health institutions that the ministry followed in all parts of the Sultanate, by contributing to the formulation of policies and plans for the rehabilitation and training and continuing professional development, in cooperation with the relevant authorities in the ministry, add to that what the Directorate of supervision and follow-up in the implementation of rehabilitation and training plans and programs of the annual professional development, and the Directorate on-site visits annually to the provinces to evaluate and follow up the various activities associated with the field of the Directorate's work and stand on the main obstacles and issues faced, as the Directorate by suggesting solutions and recommendations and prepare reports and submit them to top management of the ministry. On the other hand, the Directorate is working to raise proposals and ideas of the Central Committee of the missions, vacations, scholarships and training on the annual number of missions and school holidays in line with the expansion witnessed by the health services in the country, it also attaches great importance to overcome all the obstacles facing the qualified staff to complete their studies and so through the creation of direct contracts with prestigious universities, which is characterized by global reputation for scholarship of its employees in order to achieve academic and specialized and advanced degrees according to the specific requirements which are flexible. Directorate is also working on the continuity raise the general training level, competencies and curriculum training process to ensure a professional level of specialization in accordance with the standards required for each profession and specialization, as well as providing excellent services in training and development in all areas of work of the ministry in coordination and cooperation with all stakeholders, and decision-makers, partners key in continuous training and professional development system in the health institutions of the ministry, public and private sector, in order to raise the quality of services and achieve their goals, and this is done through a specialized team and motivated to work and proficiency in providing the service. Directorate also sought to human resources for health development through maintaining quality while ensuring proficiency in providing rehabilitation and training programs and the development of global standards. The directorate pays attention to the provision of learning resources and various health knowledge, and provides opportunities for all employees of the ministry in the accessibility and access to modern health information, and for that the electronic library is launched to be a tributary of knowledge and a means of learning tools and health knowledge of health staff.
