The Office of the Undersecretary for Administrative & Financial Affairs undertakes responsibility for the two main important streams of human and financial resources. The scope of its operations is archetypal; it touches all aspects of work; and as such it is positioned well in the line of daily activities in areas of input, processes, output, outcome, and impact. Within the scope of its domain, it aspires to maintain organizational objectives of MOH through systematic planning, organization, decision making, and leadership. Administratively, it assumes the role of insuring the provision of workforce and the creation of the enabling environment for staff to execute their tasks with the intended quality. Financially, the Office is responsible for the planning and management of the financial resources of the Ministry. It plays the vital role in supporting the various aspects of the Ministry’s operations by ensuring the availability and management of funds in clinical and non-clinical elements. The Office is further responsible for the management of MOH engineering stream. For this, it assumes responsibility for projects and maintenance of premises. Moreover, the Office ensures the smooth delivery of health care in the area of medical supplies. It participates in the processes of identification, procurement, storage, and distribution of medicine and other related consumables and components.
