South Al Batinah Health Services Reviews RSV Preparedness and Strengthens Antimicrobial Resistance Response
A meeting chaired by Dr. Nasser bin Abdullah Al Shukaili, Director General of South Al Batinah Health Services, was held to review the emergency preparedness plan and readiness for the upcoming Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) season. The meeting aimed to enhance preparedness and improve response efficiency by reviewing preventive measures, operational plans, and coordination mechanisms among the relevant departments and divisions.
The meeting also included the recognition of departments and divisions that contributed to crisis management during the previous RSV season, in appreciation of their outstanding efforts and valuable contributions to strengthening preparedness and effectively addressing health challenges, which helped achieve an integrated approach to crisis management.
In addition, the meeting reviewed the current status of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria and discussed the corrective action plan aimed at limiting their spread. Participants also examined key challenges associated with implementing preventive measures and explored solutions and initiatives to strengthen antimicrobial resistance control programs, contributing to improved quality of healthcare and enhanced patient safety
