Under the patronage of Dr. Mustafa bin Rashid Al Khaifi, Acting Director of Rustaq Hospital, Rustaq Hospital, represented by the Obstetrics and Gynecology Departments, organized the First Rustaq Midwifery Conference in celebration of International Day of the Midwife, under the theme: “For Every Birth, There is a Midwife.” The conference was attended by a group of healthcare professionals and specialists in midwifery and maternal and child health.

The conference aimed to highlight the vital role of midwives in promoting maternal and newborn health, enhancing the quality of care provided throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, as well as strengthening the exchange of expertise and scientific knowledge among healthcare professionals.

The conference included a number of scientific presentations and specialized lectures addressing the latest practices and challenges in midwifery, emphasizing the importance of developing healthcare services in line with modern health standards and contributing to improving the quality of maternal and child care.
