The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the Respiratory Therapy Department at Rustaq Hospital organized a practical training workshop titled “Beyond the Mask: Mastering NIV in PICU.”

The workshop included interactive sessions and hands-on training stations covering the fundamentals of pediatric respiratory physiology, types and techniques of non-invasive ventilation (NIV), and the selection of appropriate masks and interfaces. It also addressed the proper setup and management of NIV devices to minimize complications and provide optimal care for pediatric patients.
