The Pediatrics Department at Rustaq Hospital conducted an educational course for doctors on pediatric gastrointestinal diseases and liver transplantation, with the participation of Dr. Noreen Al Balushi, Consultant in Liver Surgery and Transplantation from the Sultan Qaboos Hospital.

Doctors from North and South Al Batinah governorates attended the course, which aimed to enhance the medical staff’s competence in diagnosing and treating liver diseases, constipation, and liver failure.

Dr. Noreen delivered a specialized lecture on liver transplantation and organ trafficking.

This course is the first of its kind, and the Pediatrics Department plans to expand such specialized courses to further develop the skills and competencies of the medical staff.
