Continued Efforts to Combat Disease Vectors in South Al Batinah
The Directorate of Disease Surveillance and Control in South Al Batinah Governorate continues its field efforts in conducting entomological surveillance and inspecting mosquito breeding sites—particularly those of the Aedes aegypti mosquito—as part of the response plan for vector-borne disease control.
The activities include conducting active entomological surveillance campaigns, monitoring mosquito density in high-risk areas, and implementing environmental sanitation measures such as eliminating and backfilling stagnant water collection points, along with applying the necessary preventive and control procedures.
These efforts are carried out in coordination and cooperation with relevant authorities and sectors to ensure enhanced preparedness and protection against potential public health risks
