The Department of Disease Surveillance and Prevention at South Al Batinah Health Services continues to implement its training programme aimed at qualifying health inspectors in the fields of field epidemiology and entomological surveillance. The programme seeks to enhance their capacities in dealing with disease outbreaks, reporting and response mechanisms, and developing their skills in the fundamental principles of entomological surveillance and classification.

The programme comes as part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to enhance the competencies of healthcare professionals and strengthen their field skills, contributing to a more effective disease surveillance system, early response, and the reduction of risks associated with the spread of diseases.
