The Ministry of Health represented by the Directorate General of Private Health Establishments has recently hosted Healthcare Standards workshop, presented by the Australian Accreditation body at Muscat Holiday Hotel.  Over 70 Private Healthcare Providers attended the workshop. The workshop outlined the Criteria of the Australian Council by which they establish their Accreditation Standards.

The workshop was arranged as part of a series that will allow all the major International Accreditation bodies to address the providers in Oman, and allow them to choose the one that is the best fit with their organization.

It is worth mentioning that the Directorate General of Private Health Establishments had earlier this year informed all providers that by 2020 they must hold an internationally recognized accreditation to ensure the safety and quality of the patient care for all residents.
