The Directorate General of Khoula Hospital organized today (Thursday) at the Crowne Plaza Al-Qurm Hotel the Second Forum for Excellence Leaders on the theme “Transformation in Health Leadership”, with the participation of a select group of leaders and experts.
The forum’s opening ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Suleiman bin Nasser Al-Hajji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Administrative and Financial Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Alawi, Director General of Khoula Hospital, along with a number of Ministry officials, directors, department heads, and staff from the Directorate General of Khoula Hospital and Al-Nahdha Hospital.
Dr. Hiba bint Ibrahim Al-Ajmi, Consultant Physician at the Directorate General of Khoula Hospital, delivered a speech at the opening of the forum, emphasizing the importance of investing in health leadership. She highlighted that strong leadership is a fundamental pillar for achieving excellence and sustainability in healthcare services, as well as for building a leadership system capable of keeping pace with rapid transformations.
The forum program also featured a lecture by Dr. Ghalib bin Saif Al-Hosni, Chief Executive Officer of Human Resources at Omantel, titled “Leadership and Organizational Culture at Omantel.” In his presentation, he shared his professional experience in building a corporate culture that supports performance, innovation, and achieving results.
Hilal bin Masoud Al-Jadidi, Chief Executive Officer of Human Resources and Change Management at Omran Group, delivered a lecture titled “Mental Models for Enhancing Personal Performance and Productivity.” He discussed the role of leadership thinking in driving organizational transformation and enhancing the efficiency of human capital.
Ibtisam bint Said Al-Khaifi, entrepreneur and consultant in human capital and organizational transformation, also delivered an international lecture titled “Conscious Leadership in the Era of Transformations: Balancing People, Systems, and Responsibility.” She highlighted the importance of conscious, human-centered leadership in achieving a balance between institutional performance and individual well-being.
The forum also included an interactive discussion session with the speakers, providing attendees the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the topics presented. This was followed by a panel discussion titled “An Inspirational Journey with Leaders Who Make an Impact,” moderated by Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Muniri, Public Health Advisor at the Ministry of Health, and featuring Eng. Said bin Abdullah Al-Mandhri, CEO of ITHCA Group, and Malak bint Ahmed Al-Shaibani, Director General of Corporate Relations and Local Value Added at Oman Shell. The participants shared their leadership experiences and discussed their roles in creating positive impact at both institutional and community levels.
The forum concluded with a workshop titled “Together Towards Modern Leadership: Between Clarity of Vision and the Power of Inspiration,” presented by H.E. Hussein bin Mohammed Al-Lawati, Member of the Shura Council and Executive Expert. The workshop focused on building leaders capable of combining strategic vision with human-centered inspiration and empowering national talent.
The forum was held as a platform bringing together health and administrative leaders to exchange expertise, inspire ideas, and strengthen collaboration through a rich scientific program. The program included specialized lectures, panel discussions, and workshops focusing on modern leadership, innovation, and mental models that enhance both personal and institutional performance.
The Directorate General of Khoula Hospital emphasized that this event reflects its ongoing commitment and efforts to promote a culture of institutional excellence and support the development of health leadership. The initiative aims to enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to patients and strengthen the role of leaders in serving the community and achieving developmental targets in the health sector.
It is worth noting that the first Forum for Excellence Leaders, organized by the Directorate General of Khoula Hospital, was held in December 2024.
