A training agreement between the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Mazoon College was signed today (Wednesday) at the MOH headquarters.
The agreement enables Bachelor of Science in Psychology students at Mazoon College to undergo practical clinical training at Al-Masarra Hospital under the supervision of a psychologist, totaling 180 scheduled hours per semester.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Health by Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Mandhari, MOH Undersecretary for Health Planning and Regulation, and on behalf of Mazoon College by Dr. Hamood bin Amer Al-Wardi, Dean of the College.
Several officials from both the Ministry of Health and Mazoon College attended the signing of the agreement.
The agreement reflects the two parties’ commitment to developing collaborative activities in areas of mutual interest and equipping the next generation of Mazoon College students with comprehensive training and practical experience. Supervisors will be appointed to oversee the students during the training period, and an orientation session will be held prior to the start of training to introduce students to the hospital system and the standards applied throughout the program. The initiative also ensures a safe and stimulating environment for all participating students, promoting the community's mental well-being.
