As part of the celebration of Global Information Security Awareness Month, which falls in October each year, the Electronic Information Security Department held an awareness campaign today (Monday, October 27, 2025) under the theme “Your digital awareness is your first line of defense.” The event was sponsored by pharmacist Ibrahim bin Nasser Al-Rashidi, Director General of the Drug Safety Center at the Ministry of Health, and attended by a number of guests. The event was attended by a number of employees from the Ministry of Health and its various directorates in the Muscat Governorate, and featured lectures by specialists in the field of information security and legal affairs. The program included several lectures on topics such as the importance of cybersecurity in the health sector, security in mobile phones and social media with the risks of social intelligence, the Information Technology Crimes Law, and the Personal Data Law.
